“In the nail salon I work classically with the 3-phase system gels. As a private user, however, I would also use a modern all-round gel - because it's quicker and requires less experience.”

What are system gels and what is a phase system?

“Adhesion, modeling and sealing are the three main tasks of the classic system gels and are each carried out with one gel for the corresponding work step. Each of these special gels has been developed specifically for its task and fulfills it according to the highest criteria,” explains our nail designer Stefanie. The system gels are coordinated with one another and are used one after the other in a fixed sequence. Its application is carried out in three steps - working with each of the three gels is called a phase and gives this modeling technique the name 3-phase system, says our expert. Today, the range of classic system gels is supplemented by so-called 1-phase gels or all-round gels : These products offer all three functions in a single gel, from adhesion to modeling and sealing. This has the advantage that only one material is required and the nail modeling itself can be carried out quickly and easily, explains our expert and recommends: “I choose all-round gels and 1-phase gels if I want it to be quick and the nails are comparatively short – they are also perfect for beginners. For longer nails I use the classic 3-phase systems because they can be modeled more voluminously and thus offer more stability. This modeling system is used every day in professional nail salons.”
