Camouflage gel, also known as cover gel or make-up gel, is a build-up gel that is mixed with skin-colored pigments and therefore has an almost opaque effect on the nail. Camouflage gel is used to visually lengthen the nail bed and to even out discoloration and unevenness. When lengthening the nail bed, you cover the transition to the free edge of the nail and can therefore place the French Gel higher without it looking “grown out”. This makes the fingernail appear narrower and more elegant.

Step 1 - Prepare Nail

Step 2 - Prime

• Apply a thin layer of adhesive gel to the nail, as camouflage gel only has minimal adhesive properties.
• Cure in a UV light curing device for two minutes.
• Please note: Do not remove the sweat layer!

Step 3 - Build with Camouflage Gel

• Choose a color that matches your skin tone.
• Work the structure with camouflage gel and cure it under the UV device for 2 minutes. If you don't want to file down to the natural nail during a refill in order to protect it, you can apply a thin layer of build-up gel beforehand.
• When applying the camouflage gel, work in a “tapering” direction towards the nail bed. Not completely opaque, otherwise the outgrowth will quickly become clearly visible.
• If necessary, rework the structure with a little gel and cure it under the UV device for 2 minutes.

Step 4

• Remove the sweat layer here with a little cleaner.
• File the nail into shape.

Step 5 - Sealing

• Dust or brush the nail with a dusting brush.
• Seal the nail with sealant gel.
• Cure under the UV device for 2 minutes.
• Remove the sweat layer again with a little cleaner.
