What you need to work with UV nail polish:

In order to get optimal results with a long shelf life, you need a matching twin coat in addition to our brilliant UV nail polish colors /products/uv-nagellack-twin-coat. This all-in-one product provides reliable adhesion as a primer and provides a fantastic high gloss and long-lasting sealing effect. You use a UV or LED light to harden the individual layers of paint. A cleaner and cellettes are required to degrease before application and to remove the sweat layer after sealing. “The principle of the UV nail polish system is very similar to the application of classic nail polish: base coat, colored varnish and sealing varnish – everything is easy and without complicated modeling,” says our expert.

“Good preparation is the be-all and end-all for a long shelf life of the UV nail polish: the natural nail should be filed into the desired shape and the cuticle professionally removed, and finally the entire nail plate is gently matted,” explains our nail designer Stefanie. After preparation, the natural nail is primed with a thin layer of Twin-Coat, which cures under the light curing device (UV 2 minutes / LED 30 seconds). This step is not necessary for use on the artificial nail; it is simply matted before applying the UV nail polish. After priming the natural nail or matting the artificial nail, the UV nail polish can be applied and cured in the desired color (UV 2 minutes / LED 30 seconds) - if necessary, this process can be repeated for a higher color intensity. Finally, a thick layer of Twin-Coat is applied evenly and cured (UV 4 minutes / LED 1 minute) for sealing. Now the layer of sweat that remains on the nail in the previous steps can be removed with the cleaner!
